We want to introduce you to the people who make Armadillo tick. So grab a coffee, settle back and say hello to Kasia…

Name: Kasia Oslowska
Job Title: Head of people and talent
Joined Armadillo: Febuary 2021

What’s your biggest achievement (personal or professional)?

My 2 biggest achievements are:

  • Having 3 degrees – 2 bachelor’s degrees in International Business and Business Management and a master’s in Human Resource Management.
  • Juggling a successful full-time career and being a mum (my daughter Lily is 14 months old), I also have two furry babies called Bella and Luna.

What are some small things that make your day better?

Sunny weather and good coffee in my beautiful garden always make my day better!

Tell us something about you that might surprise us.

When I was at uni my weekend job was to dress up as a lady of the court and sing at medieval banquets in Coombe Abbey Hotel in Warwickshire.

If you were stuck on a desert island, which book, film and album would you take?

I’m a big Harry Potter fan – I can read the books and watch the films over and over again! I really can’t decide on one album.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

“Great things never come from comfort zones” – I genuinely believe that and try to challenge myself and others I work with to step out of our comfort zones and think outside the box to see the bigger picture.

What inspires you?

People who are able to make their passion their profession, who followed their dreams, left their well-paying jobs, had an idea and started businesses to break into the market. Legends like Steve Jobs for example.

If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you do?

I’d spend a big chunk of the prize on renovating my 200-year-old cottage, and a very long holiday with my family who I haven’t been able to see for almost a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I’m quite a sensible person so I’d probably invest the rest.

What’s your favourite quote?

“Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress; working hard for something we love is called passion.” Simon Sinek

What’s something you’ve been meaning to try but just haven’t gotten around to it?

I’ve always wanted to do the Three Peaks Challenge and I’m sure one day I will.

What songs have you completely memorised?

Most recently, the Moana soundtrack – my daughter is a big fan. It’s on repeat in our house all the time.

If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?

I’m quite good at eating chocolate…

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

I’d love to be able to fly.

What is your favourite word in the English language, and why?

One of my favourite English words is extraordinary. Firstly because of the pronunciation, secondly due to its meaning.

What and where is Bristol’s hidden gem?

I actually moved out from Bristol to the beautiful Forest of Dean a couple of years ago and I absolutely love living in the countryside. My favourite area of Bristol is Clifton – I just love the architecture and dramatic cliff views

What did you want to be when you were a child?

I always wanted to be an architect and live in a mountain village.

Describe what you do in 10 words or less

I help organisations attract, retain, develop and manage the best talent. That’s 11 words, but close enough!

How would you describe what Armadillo does?

We help our clients understand and manage their interaction with customers by using the latest data-driven marketing technology.

What are the three best things about working at Armadillo?

  • No1 is definitely people – everyone is super talented and passionate about delivering the best work for our clients.
  • Secondly the opportunity to work with amazing brands – McDonald’s, Disney, Carnival UK just to name a few.
  • Thirdly flexibility and agility – we are still a fairly small business and it’s very easy to make a big impact from day one. The decision-making process is quick – it doesn’t take very long to implement great ideas.
