This year, we’ve trimmed our Christmas tree with tins of tuna, custard cartons and corned beef cans.
Don’t worry, we haven’t gone all abstract/industrial. It’s actually for the Armadillo Christmas card in aid of our local homeless shelter.
There’s been a lot of talk about homelessness in the news lately. According to recent figures, the number of people sleeping rough in the UK has doubled since 2010. And here at Armadillo, we wanted to do something to help.
So, we got in touch with the Julian House homeless shelter in Bath and asked them what they needed most. Then we gathered up the goods to help them throughout the festive season.
Before loading everything onto the sleigh (Jeremy’s Peugeot) and taking it down to the shelter, we used our cartons and cans to craft a twinkling tree in our boardroom. We thought it was a nice way to wish you a merry Christmas.
Here’s a short video showing you how it all came together.
We’re not going to pretend we made our tree in one take. It took a little bit of prep work, a lot of duct tape and several Santa hat changes – but we got there in the end.
Happy Christmas, from all of us at Armadillo.
