As free time is definitely important, you’ll always have your birthday day off to celebrate, and get time back when it matters with summer and Christmas early finish hours. And we reshaped our business to create a hybrid in-office and remote model that provides both flexibility and collaboration.

Loyalty isn’t just a service we offer clients – we’ll also reward your loyalty by giving you an extra day’s holiday per year for each year you work with us. You’ll also receive a contributory company pension with our pension escalator benefit.

And finally, while it’s not something we’d put on an official list of benefits, you’ll have access to our impressive array of office snacks. They run from chocolate biscuits to rice cakes in various flavours, plus fruit and soft drinks.

It’s our people who are responsible for our award-winning work and our incredible growth as a business. Which means it’s only right that we make time for our people to exist as people, not just employees.  

 Our Quarterly Town Hall days are built into the calendar and are designed to bring everyone together in a new location. We share our successes and our plans, then celebrate with an evening social.  

 We also get together in smaller groups with dedicated team days out – you might find yourself joining your team to go axe throwing, bowling, or VR gaming. On top of that, we have all-day summer and Christmas parties. 

 We think it’s important that agency life isn’t all about booze-fuelled celebrations, so we also plan plenty of alcohol-free fun, such as day-time office socials, not to mention Cake Wednesday, which does exactly what it says on the tin. Vegan cake included.

 

4. You’ll have opportunities to develop and succeed – and be rewarded for it

One of our most successful initiatives is offering regular career coaching with our external coach. Every member of the team can access this coaching, which is completely confidential and allows you to explore whatever you want to work on. Anonymous staff feedback has shown this to be one of our most powerful benefits. 

 Ongoing development is really important, so there’s a training budget that everyone can access. As we’re IPA Members, you’d be eligible for a range of courses and a Continuing Professional Development Diary.  

 We want to share in success so we’ll support you in raising your own profile. You could explore speaker opportunities or a chance to be published in industry press, helping to build your personal brand as well as support Armadillo. For example, one of our team was recently named one of New Digital Age’s ‘NDA Heroes’.

And there are our internal awards – The Armadillos. Peer-driven and quarterly, these awards allow everyone to nominate colleagues who deserve some recognition. Not to mention there are always ad hoc thank yous and recognition for effort. 

 

5. You’ll be as important as anyone else

If you’re looking for an open and approachable culture, that’s something you can expect to find at Armadillo. We welcome input and see value in learning from each other. You’ll be as likely to sit next to the CEO in the office as anyone else – although we can’t promise he won’t talk about Star Wars. 

Our Town Halls, Lunches with the Directors, in-office time and anonymous staff surveys all encourage everyone to have a say. Importantly, we promise to listen. We’ve implemented updates to things like our benefits package based on team feedback, so your voice really does count.
